Aldi dominates BrandSpark’s Best New Product Awards

Aldi’s private brands received accolades in BrandSpark International’s recent 2017 Best New Product Awards (BNPAs), based on consumer voting of the best consumer packaged goods including name brands and private brands. The independent market research firm made awards in four major consumer product categories: food and beverage, beauty and personal care, household and kids.

Aldi, with U.S. operations based in Batavia, Ill., won eight of the 31 awards. The German-based retailer dominated in the food and beverage category, winning six awards: best bread for its Specially Selected Brioche Buns, best coconut water for its Nature's Nectar Coconut Water, best eggs for its SimplyNature Organic Cage Free Brown Eggs, best rice for its SimplyNature Organic Rice and best savory snacks for its SimplyNature Organic White Cheddar Puffs. Aldi also won two awards in the kids category: best baby food for its Little Journey Baby Purees and best kids snacks for its Little Journey Yogurt Bites.

“The Best New Product Awards help consumers seek out and purchase the top-rated new products that can be trusted to be effective and deliver good value for the money,” said Robert Levy, president and CEO of BrandSpark International and founder of the Best New Product Awards.

The winning products were determined by the votes and opinions of more than 10,000 American consumers, including thousands of verified purchasers who actually bought the products with their own money. All voters participated in an extensive nationwide survey conducted by BrandSpark International. The 2017 survey featured more than 100 product nominees.
