Save-A-Lot launches America’s Choice Creations

Save-A-Lot, an Earth City, Mo.-based division of Supervalu, Eden Prairie, Minn., said its new store brand line of “decadent” sweet and savory shelf-stable products –– America’s Choice Creations –– is now available at all 400 corporate locations and is currently being rolled out at independently owned stores. The line includes a wide variety of items, from crab cakes to cheesecake.

Save-A-Lot noted that the 17 items currently in the line constitute just the first of three launch phases. During the next 18 months, customers will see additional America’s Choice products across a number of categories, with the goal of creating greater brand recognition, loyalty and consumer satisfaction, the company said.

Although the line and logo are new, Save-A-Lot purchased the America’s Choice brand name earlier this year from bankrupt Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (better known as A&P).
