Winn-Dixie private brands promotion receives TV coverage

Because children are often picky eaters, highly influential in family food purchase decisions and amusingly blunt, Winn-Dixie decided to base a promotion of parent company Southeastern Grocers’ revamped private brands on a kids’ taste test.

Between now and July 15, Winn-Dixie customers can submit videos of their children reviewing SE Grocers Essentials, SE Grocers and Prestige private brand products for a chance to win a grand prize, ABC Action News in Tampa Bay, Fla., reported.

In February, Jacksonville, Fla.-based Southeastern Grocers announced that it was rolling out three new private brands, including nearly 3,000 new or retooled products, this year.
