    Target launches $5 private brand wine

    California Roots line to debut this weekend

    Minneapolis-based Target Corp. is rolling out a line of private brand wine priced at $5 a bottle, according to a posting on the retailer’s website.

    Debuting Sept. 3 at more than 1,100 Target stores, the California Roots line includes five varieties: Chardonnay, Pino Grigio, Moscato, Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Blend.

    “We’re out to give our guests even more reasons to love Target — including exclusive products they can’t find anywhere else,” said Jeff Burt, Target’s senior vice president of food and beverage.
